Hyacinth Orchids are just starting to bloom

Beautiful Pink.

Hyacinth orchids, in the Genus Dipodium, are native to south-east Asia, New Guinea, the Pacific Islands and Australia.

The Blotched Hyacinth Orchid (Dipodium Variegatum) flowers later in the season, usually in December and January.

The beautiful pink flowers form on a long green or brown stem, and can be found along the Fernleigh Track and through Glenrock.
